Best AI Data Labs

Your data could be an AI asset.

The archive you built to run your business may serve a second purpose. Find out what makes it useful to AI developers—and what it takes to license it well.

Start with the asset

Not all data is a dataset.
Not every dataset is a deal.

Three questions make a better starting point than a record count. Use them to decide what is worth preparing.

Explore the rights checklist
Is it genuinely yours to license?

Start with source agreements, creator assignments and collection promises. Possession of a file is not the same as permission to license it for model training.

Does it help solve a specific model task?

Expert resolutions, unusual operating conditions and well-labelled examples can be useful. Identify a training or evaluation task before treating volume as a selling point.

Can you show what is in it—without sharing it?

Prepare a schema, aggregate coverage, source history and known limitations. Keep personal, confidential and third-party material out of an initial description.

A buyer needs more
than a folder of files.

A useful signal

The records fit a model task, with enough context and coverage to evaluate their usefulness.

A traceable history

Sources, collection and transformations can be followed to the version offered.

A defined permission

The proposed use fits the rights, privacy obligations and restrictions attached to the data.

Task fit, provenance and permission are separate questions. A strong licensing brief answers all three.

The commercial question

What could a licensed data asset be worth?

Price the rights you grant, not just the files you deliver.

A one-time archive, a refreshed feed and an exclusive training license are different products. Buyer fit, clean permissions and the work you take on shape the conversation.

Find the useful part
of your archive.

Look beyond size. Structure, context and documented collection can matter as much as the format.

Operational knowledge

Manuals, inspection records and expert decisions. Start with customer contracts and trade secrets.

Video & imagery

Scenes, actions and capture conditions. The rights inside a clip matter as much as the footage.
